Whenever we mention the idea of gardening or growing any type of plants in our backyards the image that comes to mind is a plot of soil dedicated to growing vegetables and other plants. Not many individuals are aware of aqauponics gardening which is an alternative to conventional soil based growing. In a conventional garden the needs of your plants are met by the soil, the sun, you tending the soil to rid it of weeds, you tending the plants by watering and applying fertilizer if needed. In a aquaponics gardening system there are three main components: The water source which is usually a holding tank of some sort. The fish that are cared for in the water tank. A few gardening images I found!: Garden Court Image by daryl_mitchell The Garden Court is an interior courtyard in the National Gallery of Canada. When we paid our admission, we were told that photos were allowed in the "public" spaces of the gallery, but not the artwork spaces. Nevertheless, we got scolded by an uppity security guard for taking photos here. Apparently the courtyard isn’t considered a public space, which seems rather dumb to me. It’s rather ironic, then, that I saw a woman snapping photos of the infamous "Voice of Fire" painting in another part of the gallery, where photos were definitely not permitted. I’ve seen the wonderfully patterned caterpillars before, but never an adult. I love the profile view.
