The Mullein, Shargacucullia verbasci, was a new record as an adult in my garden. I’ve seen the wonderfully patterned caterpillars before, but never an adult. I love the profile view.

Beautiful Hook-tip, Laspeyria flexula. An aptly named moth, I think.

A pretty good session, with 320 macros of 51 species. New for year in the garden were Buff Arches, Small Fan-footed Wave, Common Wave, Light Emerald, Smoky Wainscot, Dingy Shears and Silver Y (although I’ve seen Silver Y elsewhere this year). The trap was dominated by Uncertains (119!).
